What
is Reflexology? This is a highly specialised massage of
the feet. It is a wonderful relaxing treatment dating back over two thousand
years. Reflexology stimulates reflex points on the feet that correspond to key
organs, glands and the
muscular-skeletal system of the body. By stimulating these points the body
begins to release tension, circulation improves and by restoring channels of
energy the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself is restored. You
do not need to be unwell or stressed to benefit from Reflexology as it a very
enjoyable experience with the benefit of helping you to maintain your good
health.
What
does a treatment involve? On the first session I will ask you about
your health, diet and lifestyle. You remove shoes and socks and lie on a
treatment couch or reclining chair. I stimulate the reflex points on your
feet using a very precise form of gentle but firm pressure massage.
During the treatment areas of imbalance in your body are detected by feeling the
reflex points. It is not possible to state what the nature of the imbalance is
but usually it is something you are already aware of (such as a pain in the
back). The foot massage feels wonderful, although points of imbalance may feel
uncomfortable; this is a sign that there is a blockage and that this point needs
clearing. After the treatment you will feel very deeply relaxed. Many say they
feel as if they are walking on air after the treatment. Treatment time is one
hour. How
many sessions will I need? Reflexology is a treatment aimed at
maintaining health and balance. If you have a particular condition then a course
of four treatments at weekly intervals would be beneficial. After that
treatments every two to four weeks help to maintain the balance and encourages
well-being. Treatments are available in Frome and Combe Grove Hotel and Country Club (Bath).

available in the Frome/Bath area. A Reflexology voucher makes an ideal gift.
